"Associated Nostalgia’’ va asteapta Joi, 21 aprilie!
In cadrul "Associated Nostalgia’’ Maximova recunoaşte că multe din amintirele sale din copilărie sunt legate de estetica kitsch. Pe parcursul perioadei comuniste,perioada ce îi e specific lipsa de multe lucruri materiale, posesia unora devenise un motiv de laudă .Multe din aceste lucruri extravagante, de prost gust au fost expuse în vitrine de sticlă devenind în cadrul familiilor un motiv de mîndrie.
Artista comemorează această estetică viu colorată într-un volum de imagini kitsch, care ne vorbesc la fel de mult în ziua de azi ca Barocul care încă există.(La Fabrica publisher’s text)

In "Associated Nostalgia" Maximova recognises that many of her childhood memories are related to the kitsch aesthetic. During the communist years, which were characterised by a shortage of goods, showing off objects became the most obvious and naïf way of boasting certain possessions. These extravagant, gaudy items were displayed in glass cabinets and became apoint of family pride. She commemorates this brightly coloured aesthetic in this volume of kitsch images, compositions that say as much about today as Baroque still lifes. (La Fabrica publisher's text)
